The facility will transfer excess heat generated by the refrigeration system to melt the ice shaving in the snow melt pit\u00a0and to heat the sub-soil beneath the ice sheet.\u00a0The system also maximizes the energy recovery to provide heat for the arena itself, thereby keeping spectators warm while minimizing energy consumption.
