Deterioration was due to moisture and humidity from interior pool room. Exterior brick had expanded upward against the relieving angles due to moisture retention and thermal movement, creating a dangerous outward bow in the wall. Temporary bracing was installed. Existing brick and CMU backup were removed entirely. A new waterproofed steel stud backup wall, flashing, weeps, brick relieving angles, and brick were installed on two sides of pool room.
